Event Description

Food is one of the most basic needs of all human beings, yet thousands of men, women and children go to sleep hungry every night throughout the United States. Cooking for a Cause allows corporate groups to partake in an exhilarating team experience that culminates with a meaningful and worthwhile donation of food to people in need. Your group can help feed the hungry and will cook and eat food they prepare during the event, but the program also allows for a 3-pronged donation to hungry area populations:

  • Hot food donation to area soup kitchens
  • Sandwich/snack donation for delivery to food drop-off sites
  • Food pantry donation of “Food Bag” to families in need

Recipe for Success facilitators will help participants better comprehend the nature of the issue of hunger in the U.S. through a brief interactive introduction on the topic. Then, teams get cooking!! Teams will complete the following 3 tasks (The Cooking Competition, The Great PB&J Challenge, & Food Bag Donation) each with a competitive twist that will keep participants on their toes!

When possible, staff from the benefiting organization will be on hand to receive the donations. What a great way to build your team and give back to the community!
